WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Hospital in The Bronx, NY.

Job Description:

Compensation : $ 65

Job Function:

Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures
Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy
Prepare patients for surgery as requested
Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed
Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques
Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation
Take inventory and order surgical supplies as needed

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program
2 years of scrub experience on major OR procedures is a firm requirement
Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
BLS preferred (American Heart Association)
