Director of Emergency Psychiatric Services needed for Hospital in Greater NYC. .

Job Description:

Compensation : $ 250000

Job ID : 14147

Focus on treating patients admitted to the emergency room for psychiatric services (approx 8 per day)
Handle admissions, triaging and treatment plans
Supervise full time NP based in emergency room
Standard business hours, no weekends, no on-call, Monday-Friday 8-4 or 9-5
Protected administrative time and work with new residency program
Inpatient Psychiatrists, residents and per diems/moonlighters take weekend and overnight call
Opportunity for moonlighting and per diem for additional compensation
Organization offers full range of programs: outpatient, inpatient, child and adolescent, addiction services, DBT, PHP, residential and family services
Complex care team with strong team of doctors, nursing staff, clinical support

Job Requirements:

NY State license, DEA, CSR (active or applied preferred) but not required
Residency training in General Psychiatry, fellowship training to be considered
