A large health system in the suburbs of Philadelphia is looking for a Residency Program Director.  

Job Description:

Compensation : $ 275000

  • Supervise and mentor Psychiatry residents  
  • Residency Director would be responsible for the day-to-day administration of ACGME residency training program
  • The Director would develop and maintain the educational quality of the training program and ensure compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and requirements   
  • Should be knowledgeable about compliance and regulatory requirements at various training sites where residents/fellows rotate
  • Responsible for developing engaging curriculum, coordinating didactic lectures, integrating principles with the medical curriculum, overseeing education/clinical care in all program-related patient areas as well as supervising and facilitating medical care to residency program patients  
  • Must work independently to initiate tasks and complete necessary tasks within the residency program

This is a full time position with a competitive compensation, malpractice coverage, reimbursement of licenses/DEA and medical benefits.  


Job Requirements:

  • Residency training in general psychiatry required, fellowship training in Child, Geriatric, or Addiction will be considered
  • Active license in PA preferred, but not required
  • Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of ACGME strongly preferred
