Academic Hospital in Greater NYC Seeking a Psych NP to develop a Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT).

Part of department of psychiatry, covering the inpatient medicine and surgical units
Act as a team leader to respond to any instances of violence on the floor
Work with team of clinicians on the unit to educate on response techniques and create follow up treatment plans
Act as a champion, training de-escalation techniques to staff to minimize violent behavior or outbursts at the hospital
Mon-Fri schedule 9am-5pm - no call, evenings or weekends required

Active NY License
Masters Degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Board Certification Required
Newly graduated Psych NPs to be considered if have board certification, NY license and previous psychiatric nursing experience
