Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner needed for outpatient FQHC community health system in Queens.

Job Function:

  • Providers provide outpatient behavioral health care, wellness assessments and med management
  • Provides individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention or counseling to diffuse conflicts
  • Consults with primary care providers to focus on psychiatric and substance abuse issues
  • Provide patient care to patients of all ages
  • Evaluate patients medication needs, write prescriptions
  • Communicate with case workers, RN teams and other ancillary staff to ensure treatment plans are carried out
  • Provide patient education around  health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance

Job Requirements:

  • NY State license (active or applied preferred)
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in New York State
  • Must be B/E or B/C
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
