Well established social services agency on Long Island looking for an RN to work in Suffolk County, NY with the Developmentally Disabled Adult Population. This position is 40 hours per week with some flexibility. RN to provide Group Home Services to

Compensation : $40 - $43

Job Function:

  • Ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are taking all prescribed medication
  • Continuously monitor the effects of medication, activity levels, physical condition, and personal hygiene of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Implement appropriate protective and preventive measures in regards to communicable diseases, and maintain complete, accurate, and up to date medical records
  • Evaluate medical and health status for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities continuously
  • Provide nursing services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as required
  • Participate and contribute to interdisciplinary team process
  • Cooperate with the overall Day Services, policies, and procedures, and agency goals

 

Job Requirement:

  • Registered Professional Nurse with licensure from the New York State Education Department
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; with at least 1 years of nursing experience working with Intellectual Disabled Adults in a Day Program setting
